James N. Irvine, DO
A product of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Dr. James Irvine completed his medical degree in 1989. Following his studies, he underwent further training in San Diego, California, and subsequently became board-certified in Family Practice. As a true Texan himself, he chose to return to his roots in Fort Worth in 1993 after a brief stint in California.
A Wichita Falls native, Dr. Irvine relocated to the Metroplex for his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas, Arlington. During his time there, he contributed to pivotal embryology research under the guidance of Dr. Phillips. Concurrently, he also held a part-time position at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, working within the research team of the Anatomy department.
Family Practice is Dr. Irvine’s area of interest, offering a wide range of services from Family Medicine to laceration repair, and conducting DOT and FAA physicals for pilots. True to his Osteopathic education, Dr. Irvine focuses on the holistic treatment of his patients and is open to the incorporation of herbal and vitamin therapies in conjunction with traditional medical treatments. A natural educator, Dr. Irvine not only imparts knowledge to his patients but also serves as a mentor for medical students during their clinical training.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Irvine is a longstanding member of the Southcliff church, where he has led a small group on Sunday mornings for two decades. His family includes his wife, Dr. Sharon Irvine, and their three children.
